I'M IN TAIWAN!

Hey everyone,

I'm officially an exchange student, in taiwan! it is so cool here! i speak like no chinese though it sucks! i have done so much in the past 24 hours! i came to my host familiies house after i arrived from traveling for 20 hours, it wasn't that bad but we had to rush at san fran airport.....we ran...it was fun! so ya, my host mom speaks english...enough for me to communicate...even though i don't really talk much. so the house is 3 stories and they have a servant who's name is mary and im pretty sure she is fillipino. so like i got situated in my room and then i asked when i could get some clothes, host mom was like, are you tired? do u want to go right now? so we went to a 24 hour market, and i got cheap clothes!!! like designer pants from italy for like 14 bucks, and another pair of casual pants for 5!!! it is insane. after shopping we came back and i went to bed. the next day we went out to lunch and had steak that was like stirred on a hot plate with egg and rice. and it was like sizzling, it was fun. then we went and drove around taipei city and i toured my school's campus...it is amazing....and then we went swimming at a pool that one of the rotarians in my club owns. it was sooo cool, like there was an inside and outside pool. then a cold water pool, it was like the same temp. as the ocean in oregon which is like 52. then you would go into the hot tub, then into a steamer, they had two kinds. and then you could do a pressure wash, and then another type of pressure wash. then after swimming there was a welcoming/bday party for me at the pool. it was like bbq. they cooked chicken, beef, prawns (which they ate whole, w/o shell but with guts...they are bitter but i had a few, andveggies, and they smoked a WHOLE chicken with head and stuff. it was fun, but i was tired and i felt like a loser cuz i didn't really talk to anyone cuz i don't know chinese. then today we got my multiple entry visa and everything...woot! oh, another thing i tried when we were driving around taipei city(and drving here is INSANE!!!! was boba tea...its like milk tea with balls of leechee nut i think...its good! argh! there is so much to say but this keyboard is like...dumb...lol! ok, well comment and email me and stuff! luv you all!!!
